Vague laws set vague limits on people's freedom, which makes it impossible for them to know for certain whether their actions are legal. Thus, under vague laws , pple cannot feel secure.

Conclusion follows logically if which one of the following is assumed?
(a) Pple can feel secure only if they know for certain that their actions are legal
(b) If pple do not know for certain whether their actions are legal, they might not feel secure
(c) If pple know for certain that their actions are legal, they can feel secure
(d) Pple can feel secure if they are governed by laws that are not vague
(e) Only pple who feel secure can know for certain whether their actions are legal

I can't SEE the difference between A and C for me the are the same!!!

Is Ans (b) If pple do not know for certain whether their actions are legal, they might not feel secure

I think the difference in (a) and (C) is of logic
(c) If pple know for certain that their actions are legal, they can feel secure
can means ---people cannot feel secure , if people do not know for certain that their action are legal .
but (a) means -- Pple can feel secure only if they know for certain that their actions are legal .
both are logically different

Hi Amadalia,

I would tackle this question just based on a logical flow or analogy. Since the options are similar in meaning, it is better to hit the analogy in construction.

You can take it in this way-
A leads to B.(premise)
B leads to C.(assumption or a link)
hence, A leads to C. (conclusion)
If you see option (b); You can reconstruct the question as-
Vague Laws= impossible for people to know for certain whether their actions are legal.
If people do not know for certain => might not feel secure.
hence, vague laws => people cannot feel secure.

The options A and C, though have meanings similar, are not analogous to the construction of the question.
