Dear experts,
Is it OK to use British English esp the spellings.

I'm sure that american examiner can consider this but what about that computer program ( e-rater?) which checks your AWA essays. :?

I believe British spellings are fine on the GMAT--but to be on the safe side, I would stick to American English if you can. :)
