By the time the children get home from track practice, their mother will have finished putting new wallpaper in their bedroom.
1) will have finished
2) will be finishing
3) will finish
4) would have finished
5) would be finishing

Answer should be A

Will have finished. conveys present perfect tense. By the time children get home mother will be done putting the wallpaper.

hi abhi,

A should be correct in this case. first and foremost, the present perfect tense is required here to indicate precedence of actions.

the stem hints that the mother will be done with her work by the time the kids get home, so A meets that intent effectively.
