Can you please let me know which is right?

"Lake Michigan is one of the lakes that ___________ (flow/flows) through US"

Also how different is the one below from the above

"River X is the one of the rivers that ____________ (flow/flows) through US.

According to me both are same.
THe subject in both cases is singular and hence takes singular verb - flows.

"Lake Michigan is one of the lakes that ___________ (flow/flows) through US"

=> would go with "flow". the verb "flow" should accord with the plural subject- "lakes". we are in fact referring to the larger group of lakes that flow through US

"River X is the one of the rivers that ____________ (flow/flows) through US.

=> guess we are missing an "only". the sentence should read "River X is the only one of the......."
here we must use "flows" to accord with singular "River X". Only X flows through US.
