I don't have that but i can explain the make or break point:

As can be used with a clause but like can not.

For example: Like his brother, Patanjali fared in GMAT and got 750

As his brother did, patanajli fares is GMAT and got 750.

This is what I have learnt from MGMAT.

Well I shall refer my notes and find back if there is more I can help you with.

Hi Gunjan,

Thanks for your very prompt response.

Thanks for explaining Like vs As usage.

Will you be able to share more (different) usage of As.

Just to give an example OG12 Q112 - usage of AS is incorrect.

thanks.

Sorry to reply late. I was out of touch for sometime.

If you have access to Manhattan SC guide, refer page 248-249. you shall have everything. If not, let me know. I can type you some essence of it.

In OG-12 SC # 112, in the original sentence "as" acts as a subordinator. The original sentence is wrong not because of the usage of "as", but for some other reason - pronoun ambiguity

The usage of "as" here is different from what is discussed above.

If you are looking for difference between "like" and "as", just remember "like" is used to compare nouns and "as" is used to compare actions(verbs). The meaning issue is not tested in GMAT. Please refer this discussion :
