Except for the first one are the other four wrong because
of the usage of "United States sold record exports" -there could be other errors as well. but is this usage wrong

contrast in this case is between 'trade imbalances' and 'trade deficit'

So, the second clause should start with trade deficits.

A is correct
B) wrong since comparison is not correct. Also sold exports is awkward
C) same as B
D) same as B
E) comparison not between 'trade imbalance' and 'trade deficit'
