I have an unusual situation that I would like to get an opinion on.
I'm 33 and am in my last semester to complete my bachelors. I know it's pretty late but sometimes life just happens and you deal with it. I've been working for the last 5 years with a large, well know financial firm, so I have the work experience, a 3.4 GPA and last weekend I took the GMAT and scored a 700. So all looks well for applying for next fall.
What I was concerned about is applying before I have my official degree. I'll have it at the end of December, but I was hoping to make a couple first round applications. Do you think my application will get waitlisted because it will be before I have the degree completed?
Any input would be appreciated.

Dear youngdanf,

You can apply without having completed your degree as long as you complete it before you start the MBA program. So, December of 2010 should be fine. You will need to submit a transcript of your work up to this point and note in your application your expected graduation date. While it is possible you could get waitlisted pending your graduation, it is usually not a reason to waitlist. Programs where you are admitted will ask you to submit a new official transcript reflecting your graduation prior to enrolling next fall.
