I have a concern about my undergrad GPA. I have a 3.5 from an engineering school, so from that point of view, I am okay. But, there may be issues if you look at my transcripts.
Basically, I did well on the school that granted my degree - 3.5 for 3 years of work (I transferred some credits so I was able to get a 4 year degree in 3 years at that school) with 2W (Withdrawal)s. The Ws are due to me trying to take more courses, and I think adcomm can figure that out by looking at the course load on my transcripts.
My transfer courses are a worry...got mostly Bs and Cs for 4 courses that I took community colleges. Also, I had like 3 Ws over 4 semesters at the foreign school - GPA there was 3.19.
Hindsight is 20-20 but back then I had money issues so I worked lot and I also knew that transfer credits won't count towards my final CGPA. So I focussed more on work, and neglected my classes because Cs will transfer and won't count towards my CGPA at the school that granted my degree.
I think right now I am little worried...I have applied to two schools already (with recent deadlines) - I am thinking of calling them and including a short explanation for my situation and hopefully they will include that in my file or should i not bother?
My GMAT is 730 with even quant and verbal breakdowns so I hope that will help offset any concerns. And I am 9 years out of school.
And I'll probably do an explanation for the schools that I have yet to apply to..or not?
