UCLA No reply on admission status?

by mojo2014 » Fri Mar 27, 2015 10:24 am
Hi Everyone,

I interviewed for the UCLA MBA program on Feb 16 and the professors said I would be notified on my status 3 weeks after. It has been about 5 weeks now and no decision yet. I followed up with the admissions this week and they told me they'd get back to me. My question is this a good thing or bad thing? It's good that I haven't gotten the news I've been rejected, but bad because I haven't gotten the new yet.

Has anyone experienced this before, a delayed acceptance?

Thanks,
MJ

Hey there MJ,

We know this is the hardest part about the application process! While waiting in a holding pattern is not ideal and might cause you to even feel helpless at times, it's best just to think objectively and assess your situation before you go down a rabbit hole of speculation. UCLA Anderson commits to notifying you by April 2nd, so you technically have a few days left. Given that you've followed with the AdCom once, I wouldn't poke them again. Whether this is a good sign or not that you haven't heard back yet is nearly impossible to tell. Sometimes it just takes the AdCom some time. Just hang in there a bit longer and you'll get a decision soon enough. Are you waiting to hear back from anywhere else?

Best of luck!
