I was intrigued by your post because I am in a similar predicament. I have not been invited to interview for Georgetown's evening program. If I do not hear back within the next week I'm assuming that I will not be considered for admission. A little about myself, my second GMAT score was a 670 and I graduated from WashU with a 3.5 GPA. I work at an Advertising agency but most of what I do is administrative. Although I recently graduated in 2007, my biggest crutch has been my lack of management experience. From what I understand it's an important factor when applying to most MBA programs. How many people do you oversee in your current financial position?

You mentioned your friend had very minimal professional experience. I doubt that a 640 alone would get anyone an interview to Georgetown. A 640 is not high enough to make enough of an impact on its own. Perhaps there's more to her application. Did she have strong recommendations? How much lower was her GPA?
