hey guys,

i am currently finishing up a math refresher. i am on the last section - word problems (mixture, rate, coin, interest, etc...)

I want to know how many different types of word problems are there?

I know its a stupid question, but I saw in the MGMAT books, they talk about mixture, rate, probability, etc...). The math refresher that I am following does not talk about probability nor do they really explain how to tackle word problems very well.

Are all the word problem topics covered in the MGMAT word problems book? if so, then i can just forget about that topic from my math refresher.

I am not familiar with the MGMAT book specifically, but I do know that probability word problems show up on the actual GMAT. Probability should be covered in at least one of your books. If not, you can find it in the Kaplan prep books.
