Hey guys here are two problems.......Doubt in the voters one is that in the second statement it states out of how many who voted were female but not that fact that how many of teh ppl who did not vote were women.......
the correct answer for that is C

in the second one i get C as the answer but the answer is E.....

Statement I & II alone are clearly insufficient

Combining I & II

x+y=5

4+1=5

xy=4 <5

2+3=5
xy=6 >5

Insufficient.

Hence E is the answer

Ques2

The question is saying 4800 voted FOR OR AGAINST the resolution.
1800 democrats, 3000 republicans.

How many female voted FOR the resolution k????

Statement I tells us how many democrats and republican voted FOR the resolution.

Statement II tells us how many people who voted FOR the resolution were female.

3/4 * 1800 = 1350 democrats who voted FOR
2/3 * 3000 = 2000 republicans who voted FOR

out of these

1/3 * 1350 = 650 women democrats who voted FOR
1/2 * 2000 = 1000 women republicans who voted FOR

Hence answer is C.
