Even after combining both we dont know how many people own just TV.

Therefore we have 2 unknowns i.e. neither TV nor car & only TV.

Hence E is the answer.

This is the logic

3000 = Car only + TV Only + Both + Neither

The two statements together give you "Car only" and "both"

From that you can tell that

"Car Only" = 10
"Both" = 2970
TV Only + Neither = 20

We don't have enough infor to split the last term into "TV Only" and "Neither"
