Ratio of M:F 3:7
After movement M:F 2:8

Before migration the ratio of no of males to females is 3:7
After migration the ratio has been altered and the new ratio of males to females is 2:8

Using the given formula in the question stem the ratio of migration of male geese to the rate of migration of female geese can be determined..

(migrating(males)/total males)/(migrating(females)/total females)
(2/3)/(8/7)=7/12

Hence the ans is B...

let there be originally 100 geese.

30 male 70 female.

some geese say X migrated out of x again x/5 male, 4/5 x female

so we have to find

(male geese migrating/number of male )* (number of female/female geese migarating)

[x/5:4x/5 == .2x/.8x==2x/8x]

hence,(2x/30)*(70/8x) == 7/12.

hope that will help.
