Do we need to study Trignometry for GMAT

Indeed except if you don't target high. For average score, you may blindly tick the choices of trigonometry.

Never ever come across a quant question that needed the knowledge of trigonometry to be solved.

I've never seen or heard of a trig question on the GMAT.
