Just read the second part of sentence with D:

.... while that(work) of the Native American women of the Plains tribes often received public recognition, wealth, and prestige for their craftwork.

1st error : work received prestige, wealth

2nd error : their(plural) at the end of the statement cann't refer back to work(singular)

I wouldn't have caught that in a 100 years and didn't even know about the modifier exception with the prepositional phrase. Have you guys seen such a redundant reference pop up in other SC questions, or not generally?
