use the distance formula:

distance between B (x1,y1) and C (x2,y2) = √ [(y2-y1)^2 + (x2-x1)^2]

given two points B (-3,-3) and C (4,-4)

BC = √ (-4-(-3))^2 + (4- (-3))^2

= √50

= 7.07
