triangles
Source: Beat The GMAT — Problem Solving |
The only things you can tell from this info. is that the third side of the triangle is between 3 and 7, 3 < x < 7, because of the rule that says the third side of the triangle has to be less than the sum of the other two sides, and more than their difference.divya23 wrote:if 2 sides are of lenth 2 and 5 find perimeter

Thus the perimeter has to be between 2+5+3 < p < 2+5+7 i.e 10 < p < 14
Since none of the values stated fall within this range, the answer is none.
2 lengths are given.

The answer is none because there is a concept in traingles which states that "the sum of any two sides of a triangle should be greater than the third side", so since perimeter is given we can find out the third side and none of the answer choice fulfills our criteria.
