In the figure below, point D divides side BC of triangle ABC into segments BD and DC of lengths 1 and 2 units respectively. Given that angle ADC = 60 and angle ABD = 45, what is the measure of angle x? (Note: Figure is not drawn to scale.)

(B) 60
(C) 70
(D) 75
(E) 90

Hi Deepak, Suresh bala,

Is this GMAT problem, since this is the first instance where I see the trignometry concepts step in to solve the problem.

Also, let me know if there is an alternate method to solve this.

Is this GMAT problem, since this is the first instance where I see the trignometry concepts step in to solve the problem.
