Which of the following lists the number of points at which a circle can intersect a triangle?

A) 2 and 6 only
B) 2, 4, and 6 only
C) 1,2 ,3 and 6 only

Honestly, I'd probably just draw it. I just drew a few triangles and circles in my head, and found ways to do everything from 1 to 6.

Actually, I tried "5" first, since there was only one answer choice with 5. Since I could do it, that must be the answer.

Yes, the shapes are crude, but you get the point.

one question... touching = intersect as well?

does a line tangent to a circle intersect it as well?

thanks!

Yes, a tangent line "intersects" at one point (like some of those triangles above).
