I think we can deduce the biggest triangular area in a circle with one vertex at the center of the circle and the other vertex on the circle, is a right triangle ...

Seriously, I find this question difficult and I do not see which rule you have to use...

As pepeprepa said it shud be right angle triangle.

i think it shud be 1/2*1*1 = 1/2 ( radius 1 , other side 1 and hypoteneuse sq rt 2 )
