Hello,
All this while, I was under the impression that academic transcripts mean my
degree certificate and a consolidated mark sheet. With barely a month to go
for R1 deadlines of many of the colleges, I think I have made a mistake. Can
somebody clarify
- what is the format of an official transcript
- can somebody post a sample transcript ?
- I did my under-graduation in Engineering from India. I have mark sheets for
all the 8 semesters (~2 semesters/year) with the final semester mark sheet
showing the individual subject marks for the 8-th semester and consolidated
marks for each semester till seventh semester. I also have a degree certificate.
Can the above be considered transcripts ?
- Can I request somebody from India who is applying to also weigh in with their
suggestions ?
Thanks,

Also, the mark sheets have the university seal and signature from the
controller of examinations.
Thanks

Yes, your mark sheets are your transcripts. If your final semester mark sheet
shows the individual subject marks for the 8-th semester and consolidated
marks for your previous semesters , you should submit that along with your degree certificate.
I do not think you have anything to worry about.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.png)

So, how does the unofficial transcript differs from the official one..?
Thanks,
