In town X, 64% of the population are employed, and 48% of the population are employed males. What percent of the employed people in Town X are females?

a. 16%
b. 25%

Yeah these questions are tricky the way they word it and so one needs to be careful. Although we know that 16% of the population is employed females the question asks us to find what percentage of employed population is female. So we need to further do the math.. 16/64 * 100 = 25%
200 or 800. It don't matter no more.

How you arrived on 16%?
64% of the population are employed. 48% are employed males
Hence employed females = 64 - 48 = 16

16/64 * 100 = 25%
