(1/5)^m (1/4)^18 = 1/2(10)^35, then m=?

(1/5)^m (1/2)^36 = 1/2*2^35*5^35

(1/5)^m (1/2)^36 = 1/2^36*5^35

m = 35

If u use the search function of this forum and type in the first few lines of the problem u will find solutions to almost all of them(especially gmat prep questions). Almost all of them have been discussed at some point of time. Let us know if u still have problems finding it.

dmateer's explanation is correct, except I would write it more clearly like this:

(1/5)^m (1/2)^36 = (1/2)^36 (1/5)^35

=> m=35! thx everyone!
