Our tentative answer is "yes" - at least, depending on what you mean by top 25! (Everyone's lists are different.)

Top 50, undoubtedly. Your profile looks doable.

If you are thinking of schools like Rice or Smith (U Maryland), then your current GMAT score and GPA might work. Even schools like Cornell or McDonough *might* work - it all depends on how you present yourself. It's not likely that you'll easily crack a Top 20 school with these stats.

Of course, everyone is different, and the schools look for different things, but just based on the basics it's a bit of a stretch for the more brand-name schools.

BTW - a 640 GMAT is a good score!! It's really tough to nail in the mid-600s. It's just that all these darn MBA programs are supercompetitive, so it makes it hard.

Generally most of the applicants have a good 4-5 years of work experience. Although it is not just the work experience that counts but also what you did there like-what were your achievements, what initiative you took, what changes you drove in your workplace etc. So to leverage this if you can show that in your years you have demonstrated the skills business schools are looking for you could put in a strong set of essays. Hence the quality of your work, your academics and beyond academics will play an important role in determining your candidature.
