Hi,

I am kind of very confused right now. I had given my gmat in november 2009, and wanted to apply after that. But I was so much drained and involved at work, that I cudnt really apply to any of the schools in the US and Uk that I'd thot of applying to! Right now, Im thinking whether I should apply to two schools (warwick and lancaster) who have deadlines of 31st May and 31st June resp.

My dilemma is, should I apply to these schools that are essentially my backup schools, and defer them so that I can have a chance to apply to my other preferred top 30 schools, or should I apply to all of them in october this year??

really confused, and need some expert help, esp regarding deferrals!!

Thanks

Hi,

Always apply to bschool when you are ready to attend. If you don't think that you will matriculate at either of these schools in the fall then perhaps you should not apply at this time. Deferrals aren't always very easy to get and you may find that you have to reapply again.

Best,

Stacey

Thanks a lot Stacey! Can you tell advise me on the areas where I should work on between now and application period ( around October)? When should be the ideal time to start writing the essays and researching about the schools??

Hi,

Right now is a great time to start researching schools. You should also try to visit your top choice programs, but keep in mind that most schools are wrapping up tours and won't begin them again until the fall. Essay questions and applications are released in the month of July, so do your research now so that you're ready to apply once your choice schools release their applications.

Best,
