Tips to score 720+

hello ,
i cant score more than 720+ i need your help
please suggest me books to study to get 720+
i have used up 4 months of my time till now and i cant even score 720+

i have mgmat strategy guides and advanced kaplan and mgmat books
i can spend 2 months to study again
i need an approach from you to guide me by books to study to get 720+ ?

i hope you understand me deepest desire
please suggest me some books etc to get 720+
hoping for a valuable answer to get a score of 720 +

Hi Girish9,

Most Test Takers who use a 'book heavy' approach get 'stuck' at a particular scoring level; that may be what's happened to you. When you say that you couldn't crack 720+, does that mean that you have scored 720 or that you haven't gotten close to 720?

Before I can offer any specific advice, I'd like to know more about your overall studies so far:

1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used besides the ones you've listed?
3) How have you scored on each of your practice CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?

Hi Girish,

I'd ditch the Kaplan books and go straight into the MGMAT guides. In addition, I would recommend a HEAVY emphasis on Official Material:

Note: approx. 25% of the questions in the GMAT OG16 are NEW. I recommend you study with the 2013 or 2015 edition FIRST (they are identical), then purchase the 2016 edition and do the New OG 2016 Verbal questions and New OG 2016 Quant questions.

In addition to your books, I think video lessons are extremely helpful, especially for international students! Two sites to explore:

"¢ https://www.manhattanprep.com/gmat/thursdays-with-ron/ - Every other Thursday, MGMAT instructor Ron Purewal runs an hour and a half online study session focused on a very specific topic. Join in, or watch the dozens of videos in the backlog!

Hi Girish9,

I'm curious to know more about your prep leading up to now. Have you taken a full length, timed practice exam? If so, go back and review those exam(s) and identify any patterns in your test-taking. While it sounds like you've done a great deal of work to study the concepts, the GMAT is an event you can train yourself for, so identifying WHY you're answering certain questions incorrectly can help you focus your study plan and get a better grasp on how to answer the more challenging questions accurately.
