A is thrice as good a workman as B and takes 10 days less to do a piece of work than B takes. the number of days taken by B to finish the work is:
a) 12
b) 15
c) 20
d) 30

i think its 15 days, choice B. because that is the only option I see, where B is 3 times A (15 days to 5 days) and difference is of 10 days.

let the number of days for B be X . Therefore, A will complete the task in X/3 days

also its given that B takes 10 more days

therefore X - X/3 = 10

solve for it gives X = 15 (number of days B takes)

A does it in x days while B does it in 3x days. 3x-x =10 hence x=5

since B takes 3x days he will take 15 days to complete the work
