(2) The 19th tile in the row is not green. Like (1) by itself not sufficient to know the sequence.
From (1) we know it cannot be a Red tile. So has to be a yellow.

18th can be red or green
19th can be red or yellow

so if we say 19th is red then 18th must be yellow but this is not true. This mean 19th is yellow and 18th is green.
We can tell now what will be 24th.

The sequence is GYR......GYR......But we have no information on green tiles.So,two or more than two green tiles can occur together.
Both statements are insufficient together because even if we can get the color of 19 th tile,we can't say for sure how many greens are appearing after a yellow tile.

Can anyone please explain why will it b E and not D ? We can find out the colour of the 18th tile and v know the sequence to be GYR so we can safely find out the colour of the 24th. What am I missing here ?

@firdaus117 the problem clearly states that yellow tile followed by A green tile. So there cannot be multiple green tiles before the yellow.

we know that the sequence is green, yellow, red

from 1 we know that number 18 is either red or green
from 2 we know that number 19 is red or yellow

following the sequence we know that no.18 is green.
from here we just count until no.24
