Hello, as the title suggests I'm trying to decide whether to apply this year or next. Here is my background:
Age: 28 this year
GMAT: 690 (45/40), planning to retake
School: GPA 3.83, Psychology
Work: Tier 2 Consulting - good experience and ratings
Extra-Currics: Club leadership during undergrad, various other leadership roles
Post MBA Goals: Corp strategy or leadership rotation program for F100 company

After some thought, I've broken it down into two likely options:

1. Apply this year
2. Switch to corp strategy job now, apply next year

Thank you in advance for the feedback and consideration.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting; based on the info you shared, if you bump up that GMAT it sounds like you would be in pretty good shape, with the Deloitte consulting experience, international travel, strong academics, extracurricular involvement, etc. I don't see a major reason to hold off applying, but you should just assess what you think makes sense given your overall vision of your short and long term career. Good luck and keep us posted!
