22. Darwin was not the first to advance a theory of evolution; his tremendous originality lay in the fact that he proposed the idea of natural selection as the means by which evolution worked.

A. lay in the fact that he proposed the idea
B. lay in the fact of his proposing the idea
C. laid in the fact of his proposing the idea
D. laid in his proposal
E. lay in his proposal

Sorry if i sound like a teacher, but

1. Always underline the suspect part the way it is followed on the GMAT...no italics or bold please

2. Always quote the source of ur question

3. Please search the forum before posting unless u wanna spam....all these questions have been discussed before by experts....

I wonder whether this is the downside of the new marketing campaign at BTG....

Hey Vidya,

Not really..I spoke with Komal & she apologized about her lack of knowledge abt the forum..Nothing much & its not spamming BTW.

Yeah to certain extent , just becox to see"his/her" own name on the top 5 list fascinates people to post before just giving a thought!!

Anyways, I wish we need to have healthy participation for our Journey towards GMAT
