OPTION A:- CORRECT
If true that 60% of those who are accepted to the state department know at least basic french, it increases the chance for Benjamin F to acquire a position in the state department if he studies french.

OPTION B:- INCORRECT
This won't help to strengthen Benjamin 's decision to study french because there is no difference between the percentage of french speakers in the state department and that of the general population.

OPTION C:- INCORRECT
If true that the knowledge of a foreign language is not a prerequisite for a position in the state department, It gives Benjamin F no reason to study French because it cannot help increase his chance to acquire a position in the state department.

OPTION D:- INCORRECT
This option has deviated from the language in question in the argument. The Language in concern is French and not Spanish, so this doesn't strengthen Benjamin F's decision to study French.

OPTION E:- INCORRECT
If true that a friend of Benjamin F has recommended that he studies french, it doesn't serve the most serious reason why Benjamin F should study French because he's major reason for studying French is to increase his chance to acquire a position in the state department.
