well remainder is 227..!! i don't think in actual gmat exam you're going to face question like this one, so i believe you should ignore such type of questions..!! anyways if you're still curious to know how i get 227,, send me a PM i'll explain it to you...!!!

I also get a remainder of 227, but I had to use Euler's Theorem to do it, and that is a zillion miles beyond the scope of the GMAT. You won't ever see a similar question on the test.
