a.
b. if only because the possible conflicts of interest should be avoided
c. due to the avoidance of possible conflicts of interest
d. by reason of avoiding possible conflicts of interest
e. solely in that possible conflicts of interest should be avoided

IMO D... just because if and due to shud be avoided in this case... E is just wierd as a sentence.. D is the only one left by POE

"should" is not used in subjunctive hence other ans is wrong
D should be ans as due - means caused by

hence senetnce does not sound correct with use of due to
