The dreaded wait....

by mayonnai5e » Thu Feb 26, 2009 2:05 am
The wait is definitely a period of anxiousness for most would-be business school students. For myself, I didn't have too much of a problem because I kept myself busy and occupied with other activities - before I knew it I had heard back from two schools.

My first rejection was from LBS, which was a reach school all along. Still, that didn't take away from the pain of being rejected. I'm expecting Columbia to also be a rejection...stilllll waiting..

Anyone else waiting for news? How have you taken rejections? What about waitlists?

LBS rejection was the first. Then some good news from UCLA (interview invite).

I am waiting for LBS, LSE and HEC... all for masters in management... no reply yet. I recently heard that some people are getting invites. I'll start to get annoyed in about a week :)

I'm not sure what Feb 9th was, but if that was the cutoff for interview deadlines then yes that's unofficially a ding.

I didn't get an interview from Columbia after several months and what do you know - got my ding email last weekend.

How many days after your application deadline did u receive an interview call from Anderson ?

I applied in round 2 there (Jan 08) - but have not yet heard anything - seems like a ding there as well. May be my GMAT = 650 - was not good enough. UCLA blog says they are still forming a class .... not sure what that exactly means.

It took a few months - I believe it was somewhere around 2 months.

Just FYI, my waitlist at Ross was without interview. I thought for sure that I was going to get a ding.

WL is better than a ding that's for sure. I didn't get an interview with Columbia and then I got dinged - a WL would have been nice. =P
