Reminder that GMAT isn't an English course, and we should not be caught up with technical terms, especially ones without context, and they doesn't help us to learn GMAT related concepts.

Hi thanks for the response.I asked this cos someone posted a somewhat difficult quest on 1 of these forums and a number of ppl said that the question had a pattern that involved the knowledge of ellipsis.

You should at least provide the context of the question, or the question itself, so we can focus on discussing such concept within GMAT.

In its most recent approach, the comet Crommelin passed the Earth at about the same distance and in about the same position, some 25 degrees above the horizon, that Halley's comet will pass the next time it appears.

(A) that Halley's comet will pass
(B) that Halley's comet is to be passing
(C) as Halley's comet
(D) as will Halley's comet
(E) as Halley's comet will do

plz expln rule/concept if possible. Thanks

Btw, whoever tossed out that answering this question requires the knowledge of "ellipsis" is cheating everyone else out of the proper analysis to a question.
