Our concern:

Sum of the 4 homes sold for $170 each = (number)(average) = 4*170 = 680.
Sum of the remaining 6 homes = 2000-680 = 1320.
Average for the remaining 6 homes = sum/number = 1320/6 = 220.
The correct answer is
D.
