Finally I sat my exam on the 18th of March and got a decent score of 680. I am happy but not satisfied with the score - no I am not moaning because I know with the effort I put in probably 680 is a very good score. Its just a human nature that we keep complaining about what we havent got but never appreciate what we have got.

Various members on this forum have discussed the Do's and Dont's and honestly those posts have been very helpful to not only me but to scores of other aspiring GMAT candidates. I dont think I have anything to add to it - all I can say is its just an exam, take it easy. You can practice thousands of questions and keep scoring 750 on practice tests but the key to success is staying calm on the d-day.

I was a bit nervous the day before the exam but I kept telling myself that there is hardly anything I can do now. I had my time to prepare and I have done the best I could have done so there is no point worrying now. GMAT is just a part of the process and if you believe in yourself you can do it then trust me you can do it. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett, Richard Branson - none of them needed a GMAT exam to tell them what they were capable of. Do you think if they sit the exam and score 800 rather than 500, would it make a lot of difference to their prospect of entering a B-school, definitely not.

I just need to thank a few people who have contributed to my score - Eric, for starting such a fantastic forum, Ron, Ian, Logitech, Stuart, DanaJ, Cramya for their innovative methods to approach the problem, Brent for posting some wonderful questions and spending so much time to explain the answers by the use of diagrams. I wish the best for you and hope someday I can meet some of you in person.
