pick a number, for example 0.5 = 1/2

x=1/2
x^-1 = 2
x^2 = 1/4
srqt(x) 1/srqt(2) ~ 1/1,4
x^3 = 1/8

order them up

1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/sqrt(2), 2

answer is 1/2 or x
Answer A.

Lets take a value for x , x= 0.04

x=0.04
x^-1 = 25
x^2= 0.0016
sq.rt x = 0.2
x^3 = 0.000064

arranging from least to greatest
x^3, x^2,x,sq.rt x, x^-1

So x is the median
