Hi All,

I had my GMAT on Friday. During the final third of the Quant my mouse fell apart (it was an old tracker ball mouse) and it took about 10 mins to rectify. I had to rush through guessing most of the remaining answers and even then did not finish all questions. My Quant score was consequently a terrible 29!

My verbal was 44 so that pulled me up to 600.

I had the superintendent file an incident report. When I raised the issue he at first dismissed me stating that it would not affect my score!

I am in the middle of a scholarship competition and do not really have time to retake the test.

I have emailed Pearson but no response yet.

Any expericence of this kind of thing out there??

Thanks.

Hy cryan - such a bummer that you had this problem! It must have added so much more stress to an already high-pressure situation. It might have been better to simply cancel the test at the time - it sounds like maybe it wasn't managed as well as it could have been at the testing center.

Filing a report with Pearson is a good first step. You might also want to post in the Ask the Test Maker forum here on BTG, so that Rebecca, the GMAC representative, can assist you:

You have plenty of time before the grad school deadlines so hopefully you'll be able to find a good opportunity to take the test again.

Good luck!
