NO OA. Answers can be established by consensus. I think they are good problems for practise. If copy and paste the problem in new window when solving. Enjoy.

1) Two friends started a business in partnership investing $20,000 and $25,000 respectively. What would be the difference in their shares of the total profit of $15,750 earned in one year?


2) A train is running at the speed of 132 kilometers per hour. If the length of the train is 110 meters,then how long would it take to cross a railway platform 165 meters long?



3) What is the area of the largest circle that can be drawn inside a rectangle of sides 14 cm and 18 cm?

4) The difference between the circumference and the radius of a circle is 370 centimeters. What is the diameter of the circle?

5) A sector of a circle of radius 21 centimeters and central angle 120° is made into a cone by bringing its radii together. What is the radius of the cone so obtained?

6) If V is the volume of a cone of radius r and height h, and if radius of the base of the cone is doubled and the height tripled, what would be the value of the Volume of the new cone formed?
