So I just took gmatprep cat 1's verbal. There were probably 3-4 questions that I remembered from the past. I was pretty much dazed (because of the CAT I just took a few hours earlier) so I just quickly ran through the questions in 73 minutes, not bothering to write ABCDE charts or taking any notes.

This time I got 11 wrong, but scored a V41 (92%)

I got the following incorrect
4(SC), 11(CR), 12(SC), 17(RC), 20(RC), 25(SC), 26(SC), 27(CR), 34(RC), 36(SC), 39(SC)

I have read 10-12 threads on the analysis of GMATPrep's and the actual GMAT's verbal scoring.

But I am still at a loss.

Maybe MGMAT verbal has made me think in a way different from the way GMAT tests verbal.

I am no expert, but in my opinion, getting 3 wrong out of last 4 may have cost you. It's possible that you were at the 38-41 range in q36. But getting the last few questions wrong may have dropped your score to 36 without room for recovery because of the adaptive nature of the test.


With just one day left, you should just sit back and relax. Don't take too much pressure whether you have studied the right way or not. You wont be able to make a difference in this one day anyway.
