I wish you the score of your dreams! Sweet that you got yourself an afternoon slot. ; ) Have yourself a nice, big lunch... try not to think about problems for the next 1.5 hours. Keep your head high during the test and don't dwell on any past problems... just think about the problem at hand.

One of the other posters had this awesome mental imagery technique where he is Stallone and the GMAT is a bigger rival, and he kicks GMATs butt.

Well, I didn't do that great but all I needed was a 570 to get in to my target school and I got a 590, so I guess that's success. Good thing I had a high GPA in undergrad or I'd be re-taking

Lessons learned: timing is everything. I rushed thru the test and I think that really hurt me. I had 16 mins left in quant when I finished and 35 mins in verbal. Had I used all the time I had, maybe I would have done a bit better.

My advice to anyone taking the exam is to use your time wisely!!

What did you use to study for the test? Kaplan, PR, OG, etc?

I'm thrilled to hear that you scored well enough to go to the school of your choice. Congratulations! The test is just a means to an end, so don't fret about your score. ; )

For others still studying for their tests, I think the best way to learn how to pace yourself is by taking actual CATs, preferably in one sitting.
