Taking Gmat Class through Kaplan

by rezrez12 » Thu May 28, 2009 2:14 pm
Hi All,

I'm new to this site and the information has been very valuable to me. Thanks for everything!

I had signed up and took the GMAT prep class through Kaplan last year and I took the class, up to week 8. Unfortunately I had some issues come up where I couldn't spend the time finishing up the class or taking the test. I now am ready to get back to the studying. Kaplan is offering me to retake the entire class for $299, including all the practice tests etc.

I was thinking about signing up for that but I was hoping for some advice. First of all should I take the Live Online classes or should I stick with the in-person classes.

Second of all, does the $299 seem reasonable, or should I go with another firm?

Thanks for all your help!

You didn't mention if you have a target score. Kaplan is great for students aiming for 500-650. But for students trying to score higher, you could perhaps consider a different prep such as OG or MGMAT.

My target score is around 700. I figured since I already have the option of taking the Kaplan course for $299 it may be worth it since I would have access to all their practice tests etc.
