Take your time..

Hello GMATer...
I have taken the decision after nearly seven year of work experience to take my career to the next level by applying for a top MBA from a reputable University. I knew some of my friends/ class mates who were with my in High School and University went to top B Schools and i was intrigued by their approach on the application process... so i asked.
When i asked, this is the common reply i got from them.
1. GMAT: Take you time, study hard, and try to avoid taking the exam more than 3x.
2. CV: If you have experience (more than 2 years) try to re write you entire CV as to highlight you achievements both small and big .. go full board and don't be afraid.
3. Recommendation Letters: Make sure they are well written.
4. Essays: Spend time, spend time, and more time on them ..understand what is asked and take you time to reflect on what you have written.

All of them have spent between 8 to 10 months in preparation before applying to top Business schools. These schools which have accepted them are : INSEAD, Oxford: Said, and Kellogg.

Hope my advise will help you in your admission process... GOOD LUCK.

Thank you.
