A transversal t of two parallel lines m and n forms a pair of corresponding angles to be 6 x - 48 and 4 x, and a linear pair to be 4 x and y. What is x + y equal to?
(A) 72
(B) 90
(C) 108
(D) 120
(E) 180

6x - 48 = 4x (Corresponding angles)
x = 24
4x + y = 180 implies 96 + y = 180 or y = 84
Therefore, x + y = 24 + 84 = 108

Just go step by step, here the question mentions of 2 parallel lines and transversal, draw the same and then label the corresponding angles (you can take any pair of corresponding angles). Then label the linear pair and find for required variable. Does that answer your question?

No, it doesn't...I am asking where do you draw pictures in, like on MS Word Document or elsewhere? I always struggle to show my stuff pictorially, which forces me to translate few "easy with picture" type of questions to some "complicated words" type of questions.

Please help if you got me now
