there has to be an easy way which is not striking to me this very moment!

Let me assume the symbol that you have given in the document is % (since that symbol does not appear on the keyboard). a % b indicates -> the remainder when a is divided by b.

((98 % 33) % 17) - (98 % (33 % 17))

Now we need to use BODMAS method to solve this. First compute the inner expression:

98 % 33 = 32 (since remainder when 98 is divided by 33 is equal to 32).

Thus, we have:

(32 % 17) - (98 % (33 % 17))

Now lests compute the inner expression (33 % 17):

(33 % 17) = 16 (remainder when 33 is divided by 17)

Now we have:

(32 % 17) - (98 % 16)

= 15 - 2 = 13
