Hello,

A friend of mine that took the GMAT prep class in 2007 (offered by Kaplan) and test prep books published in 2007, offered to let me study from their GMAT prep books.

Do you believe this will be helpful? Does the GMAT change dramatically from year to year? What would you recommend?

I started my studying with a fairly old Princeton review book, and supplemented it with a copy of the OG 11th edition (I believe the newest one is the 12th edition). I felt that these books were sufficiently new, and the problems found in them were fairly indicative of what was on the actual test.

I don't think the GMAT changes too dramatically, so a 2-3 year old book should be ok in my opinion.
