HI,

I have only a months (30 days) prep for giving GMAT...

My general breakup is:

10 - 15 day - Quant
15 - 25 day - Verbal
25 - 30 day - essay and IR
Every weekend a practice test to be given...

What do you guys think about it? Are there any areas I should leave extra time for?

I actually have a only a month time and i have especially taken a leave from work for preparing.. Its been almost 2 and a half years since last been in touch with academics as such...
i have written CAT / XAT... etc (competitve exams in india) in 2009 - 2010.

I would recommend learning the material for both sections from day 1 till day 21 and combining the material from both sections. That way you will not feel fed up with only one section. You can do for example 1 hour of the quant and then 1 hour of the verbal and so on.
I would devote the last 7 days for tests and I would not worry about tests or timing before that period.

It's tough to answer your question without a few pieces of key information.
- What's your target score?
- What is your current GMAT aptitude?
- How many hours do you intend to study each day?

To get an idea of the required prep time, take an official practice test: https://www.mba.com/the-gmat/download-fr ... tware.aspx
It may be the case that you're already scoring above your target score, in which case you may not need to prepare at all.
Or it may be the case that you're 450 points away from your target score, in which case your 1-month plan may be unrealistic.

Your plan to take 4 or 5 practice tests seems like a good idea.
