A school has 378 girl students and 675 boy students. The school is divided into strictly boys or strictly girls sections. All sections in the school have the same number of students. What is the minimum possible number of sections in the school?
(A) 14
(B) 25
(C) 27
(D) 39
(E) 42

378 = 14 x 27
625 = 25 X 27
So each section can have 27 students
No of section 14 + 25

If I do not edit my post, is 378 + 675 not a possible answer?

you mean how many students (Plural). You can have 3, 9 students also in each section but whats the point.

So, does the question need any edit that could force us to consider GCD only?

You may want to say 'minimum possible sections' , this should bring GCD in play

Hi..........
By me we have total no. of students as:- 1053.
Now we can see from poptions that only 27 can be answer bcz ony 7 can give u a multiple which ends in 3 as we need 1053. And rest cannot give unit disit of multiple as 3.............

I think u al must get what i have done.

Ans';- 27
